English Language Challenges

The comments that I can make about my experience learning English in the university are all good, because I have learned a lot these two semesters that I have been in the English classes here. The two teachers have been nice and helpful when we need them to correct the blogs or in the classes when we don´t know how to say a word and I think that use a blog is a very good way to increase the knowledge because you always have to be looking for the words that you don´t know but you need, is also interesting because we have the possibility to share with our classmates our stories, the things we like, in short things to know more of each other. Also I think using a blog is a lot easier than other ways to develop writing skills. 

The aspects of my English that need to be improved are basically speaking. I don´t know why but it´s a little complicated for me to speak in English maybe it is because I’m a little shy and I get nervous or that I have the feeling that I’m going to do it wrong but I think I always mess up again and again, and I obviously have to practice a lot to make this change.

I use English every day because I always write in English to comment Instagram’s post of my friends of another countries and for read texts that I have for some classes that can´t be founded in Spanish but I´m not using much speaking just because I don´t have the chances to practice it with someone else.

Past or Future??

Past of future? That is a very hard question! I don´t know I would like to go both I mean the past is very interesting and full of amazing things and stories that I would love to know if they are true or just a myth, but the future is so unpredictable right now something can change across the years and well, seeing it from that point of view I would prefer going to the past.

If I could go to the past I probably wouldn´t change anything I would only go to observe how history develops on the other hand everyone knows that if we change a little thing in the past it could make a disaster or that is what is always said the movies or TV shows.

The period of the history I would like to go back could be the beginning of everything I think everyone wants to know exactly how starts the live in the Earth just for curiosity or for prove or deny a theory, also I would love to go the civilizations that have disappeared like the Azteca, Maya or Egyptian just to know how they build the pyramids, and obviously if I could go back to the past I would like to meet important people like writers, physicists and others.

There is a lot I would love to do if I go to the past but even with that the future sounds like a very good option too.

My Summer Plans

I think this summer I’m going to La Serena and the surrounding area, like Valle Del Elqui with my family and my boyfriend. My mom is planning to be four weeks there, so we are going to be able to do a lots of things there, I´m actually planning to visit Valle Del Elqui and go to Vicuña where Gabriela Mistral was born and visit the museums in the day and at night I would like to visit the observatories, in the area are a lot between the hills because there are less light pollution and you can see the clear sky it´s perfect to watch the stars! And there I think my dad would like to do the wine route.

Another thing that is also interesting to visit is the “Kokoro No Ni Wa” it´s a Japanese Garden located next to the highway and it´s really beautiful and a peaceful place.

There is a lot of tours we can take but I would like to take a tour to the National park where are a blossomy desert and another one to the island Damas and to the reserve of Humboldt penguin.

And of course I ´m going to visit the beach and there is one I like to go it´s located at 30 minutes of La Serena and it´s called Totoralillo, is a really beautiful place, and there is a lot of others things that we can do there.

Oh! and I think I´m going to work in December and January to get money and do what I write in February.

My Future Job

Well, the kind of job I would love to have is one related in what I am studying right now because I really like it and I would do this because I can relate whit nature, design, art and go outdoors, that are very important things to me and things that I am interested in, it also is travel, I had always love the idea of travel around the world and if it is related whit my job it would be amazing! I don´t really care about how much the salary is If I can do what I like and develop my ideas like they were meant in the beginning and where I have the chance of travel how I said it. About the major I don´t know yet because there are a few of options to consider because there is not only one that I like.

Talking about the topic of future job is a little bit difficult because there are a lot of options, I mean that there is not the need that I work in what I am studying now, maybe in the future I decide to study another career, or decide to teach so these are thing that I would like to think in a few years later but for now my options are the ones that I write up in the post.

My Favorite Movie

My favorite movie is The Proposal, I really love this movie since I saw it for the first time It´s very funny and cute I think it´s my favorite because it is about comedy and romance.

Well how I was telling this movie is a comedy, and it plot is around Margaret (A Canadian woman starred by Sandra Bullock) who is the boss in an office and treat bad her workers, she was going to be deported to her country, and for not to be deported she forced Andrew (one of his employees starred by Ryan Reynolds) to marry her and he had to accept it to keep his job and there start the real plot.

The kind of movies that I like are about comedy, fantasy, drama… well I could say that I like all the genders except for terror and horror I hate that kind of movies.

The recent movie I see was Dunkirk, it´s an excellent movie and a very good way to learn a little about history, the way it shows us the events it´s really interesting too I think is a really good movie I recommended it a lot.

My Best Holidays

Well, I think my best holiday was around a year ago in winter holidays, I went to Argentina for a week with my parents, uncles, and cousins, we went by car so the trip was long and when we were crossing the border between Chile and Argentina it were snowing so the trip took a bit more time because the way was covered in snow but it was a lot prettier, When we arrived  we rent a house in Bariloche and there we toured the city, went to ice skating, walk by the lake and we visited a lot of chocolate stores and book stores (because books there are more cheap than here) and in night when we were back at the house we stay up late at night playing card games or just talking. For me that was my best holiday because in my family we don’t see each other so often and that time we went in family with all my cousins and it was the first time we all travel together so that was really nice, because we had time to share with each other. 

A Country I'd Like To Visit

There are a lot of countries that I would love to visit, but this time I think I’m going to choose Greece. I would like to go because that country have a lot of history and an interesting past full of myths and gods, I am very interested in the mythology of Greece because they have a lot of stories about the Gods my favorite is one about Athena and Poseidon where both were ready to fight for the city of Athena but Zeus tell them to let the people choose, the gods give presents to the city and the people choose Athena because they thought that Athena give the best present for the city and Poseidon because of his defeat decided to flood the city. Is really cool I had to presented it in a play when I was in High School. There I would like to visit places that appear in the myths that I have read and emblematic places like the Parthenon the Zeus Olympic temple, the Acropolis, the museums, and I think I would like to live there for a period to learn and visit everything I can in the country.
